A. Bruce Moore, Jr. is President – Outpatient Services Group for Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA, the nation’s leading provider of healthcare services. He is responsible for HCA’s company-wide operations of freestanding outpatient facilities which include ambulatory surgery centers, diagnostic imaging and cancer center operations. He is also responsible for physician recruitment, practice management and real estate to support overall company operations. The group was created in January 2004 to bring a new, stronger focus to non-hospital based outpatient services, and to leverage the vast growth opportunities for this business in HCA’s existing market areas. A 25 – year veteran of HCA, Moore joined the company as a staff auditor in 1982. He served the company in a variety of roles, including Vice President of Compensation and Vice President of Benefits, before assuming the position of Vice President, Operations Administration in 1997. Moore was named Chief Operating Officer – Outpatient Services Group in July of 2004 and to his current position of President-Outpatient Services Group in January 2006.
Moore’s current board memberships include the HCA Foundation, Ensworth School and the Martha O’Bryan Center.
A native of Laurel, Miss., Moore received a bachelor’s degree in finance from The University of Mississippi. He resides in Nashville with his wife Karen and their three children.
